Temporary road closure: Breffni Three Province Challenge
Temporary closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Roads Regulations 1994.
Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from 12noon until 5pm on Saturday, 3 August 2024 to facilitate the ‘Breffni Three Province Challenge’ cycle and run.
Roads Closed
L2507, L2508 (part), L2509 from Arvagh to Gowna, via Corfree.
Alternative Routes
Southbound (Arva to Gowna):
- Divert at the junction of the L2507 & R198 (Brady’s Garage) in the townland of Drumalt onto the R198
- Turn right onto the L2505 (Ballinagh Rd at Dobson’s) in the townland of Drumalt and proceed to the L2512 junction (Drumcarey Cross)
- Turn right onto the L2512 at Drumcarey Cross and procced to the L2513 junction (Middleton Cross)
- Turn right onto the L2513 at Middleton Cross and proceed to Gowna
Northbound (Gowna to Arva):
- The same alternative routes in reverse will apply to traffic travelling northbound.
