Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2026

Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary TD, has launched the 2026 Town and Village Renewal Scheme. Funded under Project Ireland 2040, the Town and Village Renewal Scheme (TVRS) is a key measure directly supporting the objectives of Our Rural Future and the Town Centre First (TCF) Policy. The Scheme, which was introduced in 2016, is part of a suite of measures designed to support the revitalisation of rural Ireland by focusing on stimulating town centre economic and social regeneration.

Proposed Temporary Road Closure: N87 Lisnamaine

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic the National Secondary Road N87 between the Townlands of Lisnamaine or Sycamore Fields and Gartaquill, for a period of up to eight days between Tuesday, 27th October 2026 to Friday, 13th November 2026 between the hours of 8am-6pm for the purpose of Road Resurfacing.
