Housing Adaptation Grants for Older People and Disabled People, Mobility Aids Grants, and Housing Aid for Older People

Cavan County Council Housing Adaptation Grants for Older People and Disabled People (HAG), Mobility Aids Grants (MAG), and Housing Aid for Older People (HOP)

The above scheme is now open to Priority 1 and Priority 2 applications.

Priority 1:

The person is terminally ill or primarily dependent on family care or a carer, or
Adaptations to the home would support them leaving hospital/residential care.

Priority 2:

The person is mobile, but they need help to access washing, toilet facilities, bedroom or
The person’s ability to function independently would be harder without the adaptations.

The scheme will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Priority 1 applications will continue to take precedence within Cavan County Council. All Priority 2 applications will be assessed and approved subject to the ongoing demand for Priority 1 applications and the availability of funding.
