Emergency Road Closure - Kingscourt St Patrick's Day Parade

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder on Monday 17th March 2025 between the hours of 12:30pm and 3pm for the purposes of accommodating the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Kingscourt.

Roads closed:

Church Street, Main Street and Lower Main Street, Kingscourt.

Alternative routes:

Traffic travelling from R 165-1 Bailieborough Rd to R-165 Carrickmacross Rd should divert via the L7612/L7611 Mary Street to R-164 Kells Rd to R165 and vice versa.
Traffic travelling from R 165-1 Bailieborough Rd to R-164 Kells Rd should divert via the L7612/L7611 Mary Street to R-164 Kells Rd and vice versa.
Traffic travelling from R 162 Shercock Rd to R-162 Navan Rd should divert via R 165 Bailieborough Rd to L7612/L7611 Mary Street to R-164 Kells Rd to R162 and vice versa.

Local access will be accommodated.
