Proposed Temporary Road Closure: L3003 Togher Bridge

All temporary emergency and proposed road closures are subject to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Roads Regulation 1994

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic, the roads described hereunder from 8am on Monday, 22 July 2024 to 6pm on Saturday, 17 August 2024 for the purpose of box culvert installation and ancillary works at Togher Bridge.

Roads closed

Local road L-3003 from its junctions with the L3002/L3004 (Rassan Road) and L3026 (Ballyjamesduff Road). Private residents on the L3003 will have access at all times via the L3026 / L3016 / L3004 / L3002 / L3003 depending on resident location.

Alternative route

• Traffic travelling on the L3002 northbound direction towards the L3003 wishing to use the L3003 will be diverted east on the L3004 and L3016 Rassan Road and then turning northwest onto the L3029 and L3026 Ballyjamesduff/Crosskeys road and back onto the L3003.
• Traffic travelling on the L3026 eastbound direction wishing to use the L3003 will be diverted onwards on the L3026 and L3029 Ballyjamesduff/Crosskeys road and then turning Southwest onto the L3016 and L3004 Rassan Road and onwards onto the junction of the L3002 turning north and back onto the L3003.

Local traffic in the area will be accommodated as much as possible but there will no through road at Togher Bridge.
