Proposed Temporary Road Closure - Ballyconnell Festival

Temporary closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic, the road described hereunder for the “Ballyconnell Music Festival and Fair Day 2024” on the following occasions:

On Friday 02nd August 2024 from 6:00pm to 12:00 midnight
On Saturday 03rd August 2024 from 09:00am to 12:00 midnight
On Sunday 04th August 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00 midnight
On Monday 05th August 2024 from 6:00pm to 12:00 midnight

Roads Closed:

R-205-0 Main Street, Ballyconnell from its junction with the N-87-2 (Belturbet to Swanlinbar Road) to its junction with the L-50532-0 (Preaching House Lane).

Alternative Routes:

Via N-87-2 to its junction with the L-1063-0 (Daisy Hill Roundabout), then via L-1063-0 (Ballyconnell Relief Road) to rejoin the R-205-0 (known locally as The Border Road) and vice versa.

Access to Breffni Care Centre will be via the above alternative route.

Local access only will be accommodated where practicable.

Any objections to the above road closures should be lodged in writing with the undersigned not later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday 16th July 2024.
