Road Closure L6102 Lurganboy Bridge
All temporary emergency and proposed road closures are subject to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Roads Regulation 1994
Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic, the roads described hereunder from 8am on Monday, 2 September to 6pm on Saturday, 28 September 2024 for the purpose of box culvert installation and ancillary works at Lurganboy Bridge.
Roads Closed:
Local road L-6102 from its junctions with the L-6101. Private residents on the L6102 will have access at all times via the eastern access to the L-6102.
Alternative Route:
- Traffic travelling on the L6101 eastbound direction wishing to use the L6102 will be diverted onwards on the L6101 and then turning north west back onto the L6102.
- Traffic travelling on the L6101 westbound direction wishing to use the L6102 will be diverted onto the L6102 from the eastern access junction but there will be no through road on the L6102 back onto the L6101.
- Local traffic in the area will be accommodated as much as possible but there will no through road at Lurganboy Bridge.
