Proposed Road Closure - L1513 (Loreto Road)

All temporary emergency and proposed road closures are subject to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Roads Regulation 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council intends to close to public traffic, the roads described hereunder from 8am on Monday, 27th January 2025 to 8pm on Friday 14th February 2025 (inclusive of weekends) for the purpose of footpath construction and accommodation works on the L1513 in the vicinity of the entrance to Farnham National School.

Roads Closed:

Local road L1513, referred to as Loreto Road, in the townland of Drumelis from the entrance to Farnham National School to a point located on the L1513 located approximately 300 meters west of the school entrance. There will be no through road access in either direction along this stretch of the L1513.

Alternative Route:

Diversion routes will be setup on the L1512, the R198, the L15133 and the L1514 as shown on the map below to accommodate the L1513 Road Closure at Farnham National School. Access to Farnham National School will still be provided via the L1514 (Golf Links Road) for this 3 week period.

Local traffic in the area will be accommodated as far as possible but there will no through road at the townland of Drumelis.
