Emergency Road Closure - L199-3 Killygorman
Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994
The R199-3 Newtowngore to Killeshandra Road will be closed from its junction with the L-5067-0 in the townlands of Raleagh and Doogary to its junction with the L-5065-0 in the townland of Killygorman from Monday, 9 September to Thursday, 12 September 2024, from 8am to 6pm each dayfor the purposes of resurfacing works.
Alternative Route:
- Westbound – From Junction R-199-3 / L-5065-0 travel east via R-199-3 to Junction R-199-3 / R-199-2 / L-1059-0 at Killygowan, then northwards along L-1059-0 & L-1048-0 to Junction L-1048-0 / L-1046-0 / L-1045-0 (Fartrin Cross Roads), then southwards along L-1046-0 & L-1047-0 to Junction L-1047-0 / R-199-3 / L-1061-0 (Doogary Cross Roads), then eastwards along R-199-3 to Junction R-199-3 / L-5067-0. End of detour.
- Eastbound – The same alternative route in reverse will apply to eastbound traffic.
Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
Access to the R-199-3 from the L-5064-0 Derrinlester Road will be restricted during the works.
