Emergency Road Closure: L-5045 Porturlan

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the road described hereunder from Monday, 17 June to Friday, 21 June 2024 and again on Monday, 24 June, from 8am to 6pm each day for the purposes of resurfacing works.

Roads closed:

L-5045-0 from its junction with the R-205-2 in the townland of Porturlan to its junction with the L-5046-0 in the townland of Killymoriarty.  

Alternative Route:

Northwest bound: From Junction L-5045-0 / R-205-2 travel east via R-205-2 to Junction R-205-2 / L-1038-0, then northwards along L-1038-0 to Junction L-1038-0 / L-5046-0, then westwards to Junction L-5046-0 / L-5045-0. End of detour.

Southeast bound: The same route in reverse will apply to southeast bound traffic.

Diversions will be signposted for the duration of the works.
