Emergency Road Closure - Ballyconnell St Patrick's Day Parade

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Notice is hereby given that Cavan County Council has made an order to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder on Sunday, 17 March 2024 between the hours of 2pm and 5pm for the purposes of accommodating the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Ballyconnell.

Roads Closed:

R-205-0 Main Street, Ballyconnell from its junction with the N-87-2 (Belturbet to Swanlinbar Road) to its junction with the L-50532-0 (Preaching House Lane).

Alternative Routes:

Via N-87-2 to its junction with the L-1063-0 (Daisy Hill Roundabout), then via L-1063-0 (Ballyconnell Relief Road) to rejoin the R-205-0 (known locally as The Border Road) and vice versa.

Access to Breffni Care Centre will be via the above alternative route.

Local access only will be accommodated, where practicable.
