Council presents 2019-2024 'Term Report'

Cavan County Council has released its 2019-2024 'Term Report', a document which details the many achievements of the local authority during the lifetime of this council. The document was presented to councillors at the last meeting of the current council on Monday, 13th May, where Chief Executive Eoin Doyle hailed their contribution to the local authority's success during this turbulent period.

"From a management perspective, this has been an excellent cohort of councillors to work with - always performing their oversight role with diligence and clear-eyed resolve, but always with respect and understanding of the challenges faced by staff," said Mr Doyle, noting that the past five years have been "an exceptionally challenging period in geopolitical terms".

"As such it is with immense pride that we outline the achievements of this term, to provide a snapshot of the many positive ways public funds are being put to good use in the county, but also to serve as inspiration to continue to strive for excellence in everything that we do," added Mr Doyle.

Cathaoirleach, Cllr Philip Brady praised all those who had contributed to the progress made during this term, councillors, Oireachtas members, staff, management, the community and voluntary sector, local business, partner agencies, and the people of Cavan who, he said "share our passion and our commitment to making this a better place in which to live".
