Disruption to Parking – Connolly Street Carpark (Egg Market), Cavan

12 Jul 2023

There will be major disruption to parking at the Connolly Street Carpark (Egg Market), Cavan Town for the duration of the Cavan Calling festival which runs from Wednesday, 26 July to Sunday, 30 July 2023.

The Connolly Street Carpark will be closed to the public from 7pm on the evening of Wednesday, 26 July 2023 due to preparation works for the upcoming Boomtown Rats concert. The carpark will reopen on Monday, 31 July 2023 for business as usual.

Alternative car parking will be available at the Main Street Carpark or the Multi Storey Carpark (during normal business hours) which is located just off the Main Street Carpark.

Please Note: To celebrate the Cavan Calling festival, Cavan County Council are providing free parking at all surface carparks and at the Multi Storey Carpark from Thursday, 27 July to Saturday, 29 July 2023. Paid parking controls will not apply at the following locations on these dates:

Courthouse Carpark (off Farnham Street)
Main Street Carpark
Bridge Street Carpark
Cavan Multi Storey Carpark

Normal charges and time restrictions will still apply to all on street parking during this time and our Traffic Wardens will be on duty.

Cavan County Council regrets any inconvenience that this disruption may cause.
