Abbeylands Masterplan Project
Public Consultation Evening & Invitation for submissions
Cavan County Council, in conjunction with Cooney Architects and DHB Architects, is in the process of finalising the Masterplan for the Abbeylands area of Cavan Town. The area includes Main Street, Bridge Street, Abbey Street, Farnham Street, Townhall Street, Market Square and all lands to the rear of this area.
The purpose of the Masterplan is to identify and prioritise a scheme of works to redevelop and rejuvenate this important area in the town centre.
The draft Masterplan will be on public display from Friday 9th July 2021 to Friday 30th July 2021 inclusive, during normal opening hours (subject to COVID-19 restrictions) at the following locations:

Cavan County Council is also holding a Public Consultation Evening in the Townhall, Townhall Street, Cavan on Tuesday 13th July 2021 from 5pm to 8pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
COVID-19 restrictions. Although appointments are not necessary to attend the event, participants are asked to adhere to all social distancing, entrance/exit procedures, hand washing and hand sanitising and recommended mask wearing in the interests of safety of the staff, their families, and the wider community.
Cavan County Council invites any interested parties to make any comments or submissions in writing or electronically to the Planning Authority by 4pm on Friday, 30th July 2021.
