Road closure - R394 Kilcogy to Finea Road

Temporary Closing of Roads pursuant to Section 75 of Roads Act 1993 and Article 12 of Road Regulations 1994.

Cavan County Council has made an order to close the R394 Kilcogy to Finea Road from its junction with the L2544 in the townland of Kilcogy to the junction with the R194 in the townland of Carrickabane from Wednesday, 11th August 2021 to Wednesday, 18th August 2021 to facilitate emergency road works. 

Alternative Route: R394 South bound

  • divert at the junction of the L2544 with the R394 in the townland of Kilcogy.
  • via the L2544 to the junction with the N55 at the townland of Clonconvet
  • via the N55 to the junction with the R194 in Granard Town
  • via the R194 to the junction with the R396 in the townland of Ballynacross
  • via the R396 to the junction with the R395 in the townland of Coole
  • via the R395 to the junction with the R394 in Castlepollard Town
  • via the R395 to the junction with the R194 in the townland of Carrickabane

Alternative Route: R394 North bound

  • divert at the junction of the R194 with the R394 in the townland of Carrickabane.
  • via the R194 to the junction with the R154 at the townland of Killyfassy
  • via the R154 to the junction with the N55 in Ballinagh Town
  • via the N55 to the junction with the R394 at the townland of Mullaghoran
  • via the R394 to the junction with the L2544 in the townland of Kilcogy

Local access will be accommodated where possible. Diversions, where available, will be signposted for the duration of the works.
