The Restart Grant Plus is a NEW standalone grant that is available to all eligible businesses, including those who received a grant in the first Restart Grant Scheme. The grant is a contribution towards the cost of re-opening or keeping a business operational and re-connecting with employees and customers.

The Restart Grant Plus is a NEW standalone grant that is available to all eligible businesses, including those who received a grant in the 1st Restart Grant Scheme. The online application form is for new applicants only; applicants who already received a payment under the initial ReStart Grant scheme will be emailed directly by the Cavan County Council with a Declaration form and details on how to apply for the ReStart Plus Grant.
Grants of between €4,000 up to a maximum of €25,000 are available. To qualify for the scheme, enterprises must have:
250 employees or less;
Turnover of less than €100,000 per employee; and
Reduced turnover by 25% as a result of COVID-19
Those that accessed funding through the previous round of the scheme are eligible to apply for a second top-up payment to a total combined value of the revised maximum grant level.
Under the Restart Grant Plus scheme, support will also be provided for enterprises that could not access the original grant scheme, including rateable sports businesses and trading charity shops. Non-rated B&Bs will be eligible for a grant payment of €4,000.

If you received a payment through Restart Grant 1:
Restart Grant 1 Recipients (businesses who previously received a grant payment) DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THE WEB FORM AGAIN – Restart Grant one recipients shall receive correspondence directly from Cavan County Council detailing how to apply for the ReStart Grant Plus.
